Harvest Brampton's Jameson Evendon, Worship Ministry Coordinator explains why they changed skins and what makes iMinistries stand out among other church CMS.
Why did you want to re-skin your site?
"A church's website is an important part of their profile with visitors and potential visitors, as well as regular attenders.
Harvest Brampton has been on the map for less than a year, so we want to take extra care with our website to be sure we are communicating clearly and effectively with our community. Our website was functional, but it was very plain looking, and didn't communicate effectively what our church was like. We elected to re-skin our site in order to give visitors to our site a more accurate portrayal of what our church was like, and to make our website one which you would want to come back to."
Why did you chose to go with iMinistries' Premium skins? Why Malta in particular?
"We wanted a skin that not many other websites were using. Upon researching other
Harvest Bible Chapel websites, we discovered that they were all using a
similar template. At first we thought it might be better for us to use the same template, but when we learned that there was a
new skin available, we were intrigued. When we saw the Malta skin, we loved it right away. It was the perfect mix of color and readability, and it brought our site that unique look."
What was your reaction to seeing the new site with the new skin?
"When it came up with all our graphics in place, it looked great! It was leaps ahead from our last website skin. I probably visited the site a dozen times a day for the first few days, just to look at it. We loved it."
How would you describe iMinistries' customer service?
"I was impressed at how accessible iMinistries' customer service is. It's easy to get a hold of someone for a troubleshooting issue, and any e-mails or Basecamp messages are replied to very quickly. We were also impressed at how iMinistries went the extra mile to have a look around our site for potential improvements and brought those to our attention, in order to better serve our people. It could have been a cold install of a new skin, but instead they showed they really care about their customers."
